Data protection

Thank you for visiting our website and your interest in our Group. The protection of your personal data is an important concern for Glas Trösch. The following explanations provide information about which data we collect on our websites, the purpose for which the data are collected and to whom the data are transmitted.

Personal data encompass all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number, date of birth and e-mail address. Statistical data that cannot be directly or indirectly associated with a natural person are not included here. These can be, for example, statistics on which sites are particularly popular.

1.1 The purpose of collecting personal data

As a matter of principle, we already ensure that the content can be used without registration or disclosure of personal data when designing our websites. We therefore do not collect any personal data, with the exception of server log files, which are logged for security purposes and to prevent attacks, unless you expressly provide us with these data voluntarily. We collect data voluntarily provided by you for the purpose of optimising our offer, to answer any questions you may have and to contact you via newsletters, if you expressly request this.

1.2 Security and confidentiality

To ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal information we collect online, we work closely with our hosting providers to use data networks that are protected by industry standard firewalls and password systems, among other things. When handling your personal data, we take appropriate measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

1.3 Server-Logfiles

Glas Trösch collects data about access to the website, so-called server log files. These access data include:

  • the name of the accessed website
  • File
  • Data and time of the access
  • Transferred data volume
  • Notification of successful access
  • Browser type and version
  • of the user’s operating system
  • URL (of the previously visited site)
  • IP address and accessing provider.

Glas Trösch uses the log data only for the purpose of operation, security and optimisation of the offer. However, Glas Trösch reserves the right to check the log data at a later stage if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete evidence.

1.4 International data transfer

If you have given your consent or we are authorised to do so on the basis of other authorisation, we will also pass on your personal data to group companies of the Glas Trösch Group outside the European Economic Area for the purposes mentioned above. Not all countries have legislation that protects personal data to the same extent as is guaranteed in the EEA. In the absence of legislation to ensure adequate protection, we conclude agreements to ensure that recipients maintain an adequate level of data protection.

1.5 Contact form and e-mail

If you contact Glas Trösch, your details will be recorded for processing the enquiry and in the event of any additionally arising questions.

1.6 Newsletter

We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending the newsletter. This means that we will not send you a newsletter by e-mail until you have expressly confirmed to us that we should activate the newsletter service. We will then send you a notification e-mail and ask you to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link contained in this e-mail. If you no longer wish to subscribe to our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time via the attached link of the respective newsletter.

1.7 Links

Glas Trösch's websites may contain hyperlinks to other websites which Glas Trösch does not operate or monitor. Third-party websites are not subject to this declaration. Glas Trösch is not responsible for their content or handling of personal data.

We collect, process and use personal data of children only with the consent of their legal representative. Persons under the age of 18 years must obtain the permission of their legal representative before they provide us with personal data.
