Bird protection glass

In balcony glazing, conservatories or entire glass façades, our special glass consistently reduces bird impact.

The glass with integrated bird protection

Every day, countless situations occur where glass panes in architecture pose an increased risk of collision for birds. To mitigate these risks, SILVERSTAR BIRDPROTECT offers appropriate, bird strike-resistant solutions for any constructional measure.

The ORTHO design developed in cooperation with the Swiss Ornithological Institute in Sempach breaks the reflections and transparency dangerous for birds through its structure and design, enabling them to better recognise the glass as an obstacle. Individual print designs can also be developed on request.

SILVERSTAR BIRDPROTECT can be combined with safety glass as well as various thermal and solar protection layers.

Bird-protection glass with minimal impact on visibility

There are countless situations in everyday life where panes of glass used in architecture present an increased risk of collision for birds. To mitigate these risks, BIRDPROTECT offers appropriate, bird strike-resistant solutions for any constructional measure.

Saflex Flysafe 3D consists of a PVB sheet containing sequins for highly effective bird protection. The 3D sequins used catch the light to create a subtle sparkling effect that prevents birds from flying into the glass. The sequins are discreet and do not compromise the view through the glass or the look of the external glazing. After processing, BIRDPROTECT Saflex FlySafe 3D is a laminated safety glass.
