Supplied with daylight on the way to recovery

| OKALUX | Reference

For the new functional wing of the Albertinen hospital in Hamburg, optimizing routes and processes of patients and staff was the top priority for the architectural office Henke + Partner.

This includes the use of daylight solutions, which also contribute to the recovery and well-being of patients in healthcare facilities. After all, light regulates the human biorhythm, regulates the body's sleeping and waking phases, and can brighten the mood.

Our OKASOLAR S in the atrium provides soothing daylight selectively and glare-free deep into the three-storey hall. The daylight system, specially developed for overhead glazing, provides effective direction-selective solar control with the shading system integrated in the cavity between the panes. This allows cooling loads and costs for artificial lighting to be reduced and the energy balance of a building to be optimized.
