Ice-fresh renovation

| BGT | Glas Trösch | Reference

The Uzehalle in Niederuzwil was built in the 1960s and has been a great pleasure for ice skating enthusiasts ever since.

Three years ago, the façades, roof and lighting needed to be renovated to bring the rink up to the latest energy standards. With the aim of keeping energy consumption as low as possible, a photovoltaic system was installed on the roof and the Uzehalle is now able to generate around 70% of its own energy requirements. A striking feature of the new energy-efficient look is the white, yellow and green glass panels that create a friendly mosaic façade.

Here we used an effective combination of our trusted insulating glas plus ornamented and colored safety glas by our subsudary BGT Bischoff Glastechnik. The colorful variety is achieved by different colour interlayers, resulting in a glass with a high degree of colour stability – perfect for indoor and outdoor design.
