Building becomes power plant

A completely refurbished apartment building in Fahrwangen impressively demonstrates the potential of solar energy. Built in 1974, the 7-family house was an ordinary building before the renovation, but can now rightly be called a power plant since it has been extensively clad with solar panels.

SWISSCULINARIA has been specially developed for use in kitchens. The extremely robust surface of the refined glass withstands heat, scratches and acids, is durable and easy to clean. Kitchen worktops are made to measure and can be used to deposit warm pans or as a cutting board for food – because glass is one of the most robust and hygienic materials available.

SILVERSTAR SUNSTOP

SILVERSTAR SUNSTOP is the ideal coating for use in particularly warm climates and in intense sunlight. The glazing reflects the long-wave infra-red rays, which are largely responsible for heating the room interior. This means that air-conditioning costs can be reduced even with large-scale use of glass and the rooms can be kept at a pleasant temperature.
