Daylight for sports enthusiasts

| OKALUX | Reference

To promote clubs and social cohesion, the Bavarian municipality of Jettingen-Scheppach relies on projects and construction measures that support such activities.

These include the recently completed sports hall at Schindbühel by Munich-based bharchitektengesellschaft. The building with its inclined hall cubature complements the existing sports facilities and, in addition to a divisible sports hall with a public area, changing rooms and ancillary rooms, also includes a gymnastics room and a spacious entrance area with adjoining foyer. In addition to its sporting arguments, the new building also scores with an optimum supply of daylight.

The OKALUX K triple-glazed insulating glass used in the west façade and in the upper part of the prestigious east façade ensures plenty of daylight and a correspondingly glare-free lighting mood and performance-enhancing atmosphere. Responsible for the uniform and shadow-free illumination deep into the interior is the capillary plate in the space between the panes. To counteract the incident solar energy, the architects also chose one of our products, SANCO Sun Combi Neutral insulating glass. Both glasses offer the optimal balance between ecological and aesthetic requirements.
