Classical yet contemporary

James Simon was one of the most important patrons of Wilhelminian Berlin. To honour this generosity, the entrance building to the Museum Island, to be built in 2019, bears his name: the James Simon Gallery. It serves as a welcoming gateway and offers visitors amenities such as a café, auditorium and exhibition spaces.
