Light, warmth and hope for little fighters

| Glas Trösch | Reference

At the beginning of May, we joined in raising awareness for children living with congenital heart conditions at the Day of children with heart disease – young fighters who show incredible strength!

In the new University Children’s Hospital Zurich, designed by Herzog & de Meuron , their healing is supported not only by medicine but also by space. 114 private rooms, shaped like small houses on the hospital’s rooftop, provide light, privacy and a comforting view of nature — spaces where young patients can find moments of calm and resilience.

We are proud to have contributed to this special place with triple insulating glass and SILVERSTAR solar control and thermal insulation coatings for maximum safety, warmth and daylight.

Alongside architecture and technology, it’s the people and initiatives that make a difference: EVHK (Parents' association for the child with heart disease) offers families affected by congenital heart disease vital help and hope — a cause worth supporting.
