Designed by fjc studio, the project brings together the careful restoration of heritage buildings with contemporary architecture, creating flexible cultural venues, creative workspaces and vibrant public spaces.
The design preserves the existing heritage fabric while introducing striking sculptural roof extensions that integrate seamlessly into the urban context. New pedestrian connections, together with retail, hospitality and cultural spaces, activate the precinct and strengthen its urban character.
Daylight is a defining element of the architectural concept. OKASOLAR S was integrated into the roof glazing to support the generous daylight strategy. Developed specifically for overhead glazing, the insulating glass system combines directional solar control with targeted daylight guidance. Its integrated louvre system distributes natural daylight deep into the building, reduces direct solar heat gain and creates balanced lighting conditions while maintaining partial outward views.
With OKASOLAR S, OKALUX contributes to the implementation of the architectural daylight concept for this adaptive reuse project. The high-performance insulating glass for roof glazing combines effective solar control with targeted daylight guidance.
